Thank you to our dedicated Transportation Department and Board of Trustees for representing the district.

Huntsville ISD was proud to participate in this wonderful community event benefiting CASA of Walker County. We enjoyed visiting with families at our booth and loved seeing such a great turnout.
The event also featured performances from our Huntsville High School Grenadier Guard Dance Team, Huntsville High School Cheer Team, and Ballet Folklórico, which includes several of our students.
We are always grateful for opportunities to support events that bring our community together and benefit children and families in Walker County.

Huntsville ISD Tropical Weather Watch - 6/16/2026 Alert
Dear Huntsville ISD Families,
Huntsville ISD is currently tracking inclement weather forecasts related to tropical storm activity along the Texas Gulf Coast. Over the next few days, our immediate area faces a strong potential for increased rainfall which will increase the potential for flooding and gusty winds. Despite these conditions, we anticipate normal operations with summer school as scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17.
Our monitoring will continue through tonight and into Thursday. Early tomorrow morning, the HISD Transportation Department will conduct an evaluation of local road conditions. If any changes to our schedule become necessary, we will notify families no later than 5:30 AM, or as soon as a decision is reached.
For the latest updates regarding plans for our school community, please stay tuned to the Huntsville ISD website and our social media channels. We encourage all families, particularly those in low-lying areas, to take all the necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
Your child’s 2025 STAAR 3-8 results are now available! We are so proud of all the hard work our students put in this year.
To view your child's results, log in to your district’s parent portal.
After logging in, you will see a tab labeled TEXAS ASSESSMENT.
Click on the tab, and you should be taken to the Texas Assessment page and see your child's results for the 2025 EOC.

As Dr. Sheppard entered his final month serving as Superintendent of Huntsville ISD, friends, colleagues, community members, and local leaders came together to share laughs, say thank you, and offer congratulations as he prepares for retirement..
Dr. Sheppard was also presented with a declaration of appreciation from former Huntsville ISD Board Trustee Trey Wharton, now serving our area as a Texas State Representative.
