Bus Registration

  • As of June 27, 2018 - Bus Registration for the 2018-2019 School Year is now OPEN.  
    2018-2019 School Year 
    All Bus Registrations for the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL needed to be received by the HISD Transportation Department on or before Friday, August 10, 2018
    **Any Bus Registration received after the August 10 deadline will have to wait to ride until Monday, August 20, 2018.
    Elementary parents:  
    Please do NOT wait until your scheduled campus Meet & Greet to sign your child up to ride the bus.  The date will be past the deadline and your child will not be allowed to ride on the first day of school.
    Bus registration is REQUIRED ANNUALLY for ALL students who need to ride the bus during the school year.  This is a yearly requirement even if your child rode the bus last year.  All registrations must be completed and confirmed BEFORE a student is allowed to ride.  
    Bus registration is a separate process from the Back to School Online Student Registration process for school enrollment.  We do NOT use the Home Access Center (HAC) for Bus Registration.  You must come to the Transportation Department at 95 Martin Luther King Drive during operating hours to sign up, or you may fill out and submit the online Bus Registration form found in the side menu of this page.  
    All students who are approved to ride the bus for the First Day of School will receive a phone call from Transportation on Monday, August 13 or Tuesday, August 14 to provide you with your child's most up to day bus information including their bus number, stop location, and times.

    After August 20, 2018, and all throughout the regular school year, students who are first signed up to ride the bus must wait 48 hours before being allowed to actually ride.
