    We are excited to help promote Huntsville ISD and all of the wonderful things going on throughout our public schools.  Our desire is for people to feel WELCOME in our district and PROUD to be a Hornet! 

     

    Visit the district website often to find news and information as our content is updated regularly.  Most campus specific news can be found on the individual campus webpages.

    You can subscribe to any webpage, teacher page, calendar or news to receive daily updates to your personal mailbox or add events to your own calendar!   

    Campus PR
    Each campus has a PR Rep designated to take photos of events and activities and submit stories to the Communications Department throughout the school year.  Feel free to contact them as well, if you have newsworthy items to share.

Mission

  • Disseminate information that is pertinent to the public about student performance as it relates to the state's accountability system, district's benchmarks, student achievement, staff recognitions and other great things happening in HISD!
    • Communicate effectively with parents on matters of student achievement, district performance, policies and guidelines.
    • Communicate with news media by providing factual information related to student performance, staff achievement, district policies, goals, accomplishments and challenges.
    • Develop public awareness initiatives that spotlight the success of students, campuses and the district.
    • Respond to inquiries and request for information from parents, the general public, and members of the news media.
