In keeping with Huntsville ISD’s commitment to Building Champions, the purpose of the Hall of Champions is to acknowledge the outstanding lifetime achievements of former Huntsville Hornets in a variety of categories. The honor reflects personal and professional accomplishments, as well as larger contributions to our society at a local, state, national, or international level.  Honorees are role models and represent Champions in life - the “best of the best” among Hornet Alumni, former HISD employees and former HISD trustees.

1) Graduate of Huntsville High School at least 15 years ago; OR,

2) Former HISD employee or trustee whose contributions left a lasting impact on the community; AND,

3) Accomplished outstanding lifetime achievements as described in the purpose statement above.

Nominations must be received by Friday, May 5, 2023 to be considered.  The attached Hall of Champions Nomination Form, along with all additional information requested on the form, must be submitted and provide enough information for the candidate to be fully vetted by the HOC Selection Committee.

Nominees selected for induction into HISD’s Hall of Champions will be notified and invited to a ceremony in conjunction with a Huntsville Hornet home football game during the 2023 season!  The date and details will be announced as soon as possible, pending a final completion date for our new stadium at Huntsville High School.

We recommend you DO NOT notify your nominee as you gather information and complete the process on their behalf.  Individuals not selected for induction by the committee will NOT be notified of their nomination.  Instead, you will be notified if your nominee is not selected for induction into this year’s class and you may submit a new nomination in subsequent years.
