Ms. Surbrook
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! I am excited to be your students Kindergarten teacher!
"It's all about success at HES!"
This is my second year teaching in Huntsville ISD and Huntsville Elementary! I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in general education. I also have my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Sam Houston. (Eat 'em Up, Kats!).
I am originally from the Spring-Klein area and while attending college at SHSU I fell in love with the community and Huntsville Elementary. Prior to teaching at HES, I taught high school colorguard for 3 1/2 years. I realized my heart is with younger children and teaching kindergarten has always been my dream.
A little about me, I have a dog, Brandi, and a cat, Magnolia. I am also engaged to my fiance, Aaron! We thank SHSU for bringing us together. I am still active in the SHSU community and love supporting my college and the community around it! In my spare time, I enjoy working out, crafting, drinking coffee/tea, and shopping. I love taking trips and exploring the area around me! Adventure is always out there!
I am very excited for this year and what is to come! It takes a village and a big heart to teach little minds!
