Dear Hornet Nation!

I hope each and everyone is having a fun, relaxing, and safe summer break.  I was honored to be named as the principal of Huntsville High School in June 2018 by the Huntsville ISD Board of Trustees.  It is truly a pleasure to be part of a community where parents, students, and teachers care for each other and strive to build positive relationships.

As always, the beginning of a new year is full of great anticipation and excitement.  This year our focus will be “continuous growth,”  no matter what the class, activity, event, or competition, we want our students, teachers, and staff to get better each day.  To achieve continuous growth, we need to work with you to ensure your child can achieve to their highest potential and reach their personal goals. We recognize that in order to be successful, our children need support from both home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education.  As partners, we share the responsibility for student success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

  1. Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience.
  2. Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life.
  3. Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school and become a successful citizen who is prepared for college and career.
  4. Demonstrates respect toward peers, teachers, staff, and self.
  5. Works hard to self-advocate, plan and achieve.

As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors - teachers, students and parents - are excited to be here!  This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic and social excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.

If you would like to personally meet me, I encourage you to attend a come and go reception on July 30th, so please Save the Date! The district will have more details on this event a little later.

I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at Huntsville High School meet their goals and have a successful school year!
