Hello!

My name is Kandace Brown and I'm very excited to be teaching English II this year. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Secondary Education, and am certified to teach 7th through 12th grade English Language Arts in the state of Texas. Before that, I was a War Eagle at Oak Ridge Senior High School in Conroe, Texas. After graduation, I taught in Humble ISD for a year before moving to Huntsville High School. The 2021-2022 school year will be my third year at HHS.

Literature and writing are major passions of mine. I believe there is a bibliophile sleeping inside even the most reluctant of readers, and I hope that all of the students who enter my classroom will be able to find that one special book to awaken that bibliophile.
