Miss N'Kayla Mitchell

I am so excited about this new year in 4th grade and am looking forward to partnering with you in your child’s education! I would like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Ms. N’Kayla Mitchell, and I am from West, TX. I am a West Trojan who graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis on Juvenile Delinquency. In 2010, I became an After-School Coordinator for 21st Century at Estella Stewart Elementary. After 4 years, I became alternatively certified in Early Childhood and Elementary Education through Region 6, and began teaching Pre-K. This is the beginning of my 10th year in education. On December 16, 2017, I became a Lamar Cardinal and graduated with honors, a 4.0, and a Masters in Educational Administration. I have a 2 dogs named Diezel and Wattz and they are my absolute favorites!! I enjoy reading, singing, and being with my family! I love the simple things in life!
