This is the start of my 25th year here at HES!! This year will be like none before, as we navigate through new processes and procedures with regarding the corovavirus and having both on campus and remote learners.

I graduated from Sam Houston State University in December 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Health (Eat'em up Kats!). I have taught First grade for over 14 years, I have also taught in the Behavioral Classes grades K-6th for two years. I have also been a Reading and Math Coach here at HES for over six years, but currently I am the Math Interventionist at HES. (I love working with kids). 

I married my best friend, Jason (who is also a Bearkat), in 1996.  He is currently the Adaptive PE teacher for HISD/coach for the high school.  We have two children.  Jayce is a graduate of HHS ('18) and is now a Junior at Texas A&M (Whoop), and Jalyn is a Senior at HHS.  Both were involved with sports at HHS. We enjoy many sporting events together as a family and love to watch our children involved with their extra curriculum activities. 

I am so excited to be working with students in First through Fourth Grade.  I can't wait to see where this year takes HES and your student weather they are here with us or remotely at home!! It's All About Success at HES!!!!
