    Early Registration Event for HISD Employees, ONLY -
    District Employee Registration event for New or Returning Students 4 years old & older

    PreK / Kindergarten Round Up - Early Registration Event -
    PreK & Kindergarten Early Enrollment event for New or Returning Students entering PreK or Kindergarten (see event flyer at bottom of page)

      *Held In Conjunction with the Community Praise Ministry Back to School Free School Supply Giveaway event.

    Notes:
    On-Site centralized registration is held in one location for any New or Returning student enrolling in any grade for the 2022-2023 School Year.  While New Student registration is primarily for parents/guardians of NEW students entering the district, we welcome any parent who would prefer in-person registration using paper registration forms.  

    All centralized registration will be held at Huntsville High School.  We will be registering using paper forms, only, which can be found in the section below.  Please download and complete the appropriate registration forms from the section below ahead of time and bring them with you to the registration event of your choice with all other required enrollment documentation. 
     
    All children will need to be supervised by the parent/guardian during the registration process.
     
    Please limit the number of people attending registration, if possible.

    Beginning August 1, 2022, ALL Student Registration will be handled directly at the child’s assigned campus.


    RETURNING HISD STUDENT REGISTRATION:

    Online Registration -
    Effective May 18, 2022 - The Online Registration System through the Home Access Center (HAC) Parent portal opened for Returning HISD Students.

    Online Registration is for Returning HISD Students, ONLY (K-12), and will be open through the Home Access Center (HAC) parent portal 24-hours a day through Saturday, July 30, 2022

    Any parent/guardian who needs assistance with the HAC online registration process is invited to complete the paper student registration forms instead and bring them with all of the required documentation to one of the scheduled Centralized Student Registration events listed above.  

    Beginning August 1, 2022, Online Registration for Returning Students will NO longer be available and registration will have to be completed at the child's assigned campus.

Enrollment Criteria & Required Documentation for 2022-2023 SY

  • UPDATED LIST OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION NEEDED FOR REGISTRATION: 

    NEW Student to the District:

    • Parent/Guardian identification - driver's license, passport, or other federal or state identification card
    • Student's Birth Certificate
    • Student's Shot Record - this is a requirement to complete registration
    • Student's Social Security Card
    • Proof of Residency - The items listed below will be used to show proof of residency.
      • Current Utility Bill - Water, Gas, or Electric
      • Deed of Trust
      • Property Tax Statement
      • Unexpired Lease Agreement showing the physical address
        *If the proof of residency document is not in the parent/guardian's name, then the person listed on the document must be present with proof of identification.
        *A post office box address does not meet the requirement for proof of residency.

    PreKindergarten Registration Information:

    • Students must qualify for prekindergarten
    • Proof of Income is required to determine eligibility.
      • A July paystub will be required in August to determine eligibility
      • If a student does not qualify, an affordable tuition-based PreK is available on a limited basis

    RETURNING Student to the District:

    • Parent/Guardian identification - driver's license, passport, or other federal or state identification card
    • Parent email address
    • Student's Updated Shot Record - this is a requirement to complete registration
    • Student's Social Security Card
    • Proof of Residency for incoming 5th, 7th and 9th grade students, only - The items listed below will be used to show proof of residency.
      • Current Utility Bill - Water, Gas, or Electric
      • Deed of Trust
      • Property Tax Statement
      • Unexpired Lease Agreement showing the physical address
        *If the proof of residency document is not in the parent/guardian's name, then the person listed on the document must be present with proof of identification.
        *A post office box address does not meet the requirement for proof of residency.

     **Huntsville ISD offers transportation to students, free breakfast for all students and free lunch for those who qualify.**

Additional Registration Information:

  • To register for School Meals or Bus Transportation, please visit those department pages for their registration information handled separately from Student Registration.  

    Visit the Child Nutrition Services Department page to apply for Free or Reduced-Price School Meals for your child.

    Visit the Transportation Department page to request Bus Transportation for your child. 
    Note:  Students who were active registered bus riders on the last day of the 2021-2022 school year, do not need to re-register to ride the bus for the 2022-2023 school year.  Students who were not previously signed up to ride will need to register.
