Welcome Hornets!

My name is Ruby Zamudio (del Real) and I teach Spanish 2 and PAP Spanish 2 at HHS. I was born and raised here in Huntsville, Texas and I am excired to begin my 8th year as a Hornet educator. I graduated from HHS in 2008 and from SHSU in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Spanish and Family and Consumer Science and just recently graduated with a master's degree in TESOL this past summer. I will be starting my first semester as an adjunct professor at my alma mater this fall. Go Bearkats!

Growing up, my parents made sure to pass on every aspect of their culture to my siblings and me, while also making sure we emerged into the culture around us. This definitely ignited my curiosity to understand and appreciate different cultures and I wish to share this love and passion with my students. I hope to be able to show them why it is important to acquire a new language in today's world along with its benefits.
