About Me

Hello and welcome to my webpage. My name is Robert Taylor and I will be serving our US History (Level, AP, and OnRamps)  students this year.

Along with teaching US History, I also serve as our Head Men's Soccer coach here at Huntsville High School.

I am in my 16th year at Huntsville ISD. I moved to Huntsville in 2002 to attend Sam Houston State University and have been here ever since. My wife and I have 4 children and 3 of them attend school in Huntsville ISD.

Location: Huntsville High School, room 1801

I look forward to working with your students. I believe education is one the most powerful tools any person can acquire, and I hope to help our students value their educational opportunities in the same way.

  • Classwork Information

The majority of our classwork will be completed using Google Classroom, unless you are enrolled in the OnRamps course. That course will complete work in both Google Classroom and Canvas which serves as UT's learning platform.

Each student should receive an invitation to join the Google Classroom for their specified class period.

Parents/Guardians are also able to access Google Classroom to be able to view what the students view. Parents/Guardians are not able to submit assignments for their students, but can keep up with student work and receive weekly updates.

Home Access Center (link) is the where you will want to check to view student grades. While I grade assignments that are in Google Classroom, I will not have it calculate an average course grade.

Please take note of the course syllabus as it will detail more information about the course.

Students will need their chromebook, a notebook to write in, and something to write with each day in class.
