Ms. Shelly Riddler

Hey, Hornets! My name is Ms. Riddler and I am so excited to be your child's business teacher for the 2022-2023 school year.

I hold a Bachelor's of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University where I majored in Management. I have a varied background in the business field, ranging from customer service and sales to technology education. I have a passion for teaching business topics to tomorrow's work force, including its accountants, real estate agents, hospitality workers, and managers in all fields!

Some students go to college. All students go to WORK!

I am a homegrown Huntsville Hornet from the Class of 2004. Huntsville High School is very special to me, as are its students. My mother taught business classes at HHS as well (2000-2012) and now I teach in her former classroom! In fact, I come from a long line of educators on both sides of my family tree! I enjoy going to the beach, dinosaurs, and premium streaming services because I don't watch commercials.

In addition to teaching business topics, I serve on Huntsville High School's Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) team, and am a new teacher mentor. I co-sponsor Key Club and coach 2 UIL Academics teams: Business Applications and Accounting.

  • CLASS SCHEDULE:

    DUTY:
    Thursday afternoons (3:40 PM - 4:00 PM)
    Friday afternoons (3:40 PM - 4:00 PM)

    TUTORIALS SCHEDULE:
    I am available every morning from 7:00-7:30 for tutorials. After school, I am available Monday-Wednesday from 3:45-4:15. I request that students let me know they're coming to tutorials in case I have a conflict.

It is my firm belief that teachers and parents who maintain open and frequent lines of communication are a great indicator of student success.
