Mrs. Amanda Jenkins

My name is Mrs. Amanda Jenkins and I am so excited to be your Kindergarten Teacher this year!

This is my third year teaching at Scott Johnson Elementary.

A little bit about me and my family:

I am a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard.  I spent 6 years serving my country and loving every adventure.  I moved to Huntsville in 2010 with my family. I have been married to the same wonderful man since 2005 and we have 3 amazing kids!

We have a white dog named Manny and a black cat named Amos.  My favorite colors are pink and Tiffany blue.   My birthday is January 6 and my favorite candies are Twizzlers and Reeses Pieces.  I like spend time with my family and going to my kids sports events (baseball, football, softball, volleyball etc.)

Classroom Information

  • I love using Class Dojo to post communicate with parents throughout the school year.
The app allows me to safely post or send pictures to parents of what we are doing throughout the day.
It is especially helpful when you ask your student "How was your day?" or "What did you do today?"
As a mother of 3 I know that more often than not the answer is "Good" and "Nothing."
Please download Class Dojo and use the login information sent home with your student or sent electronically from me.

    ~ Thank you!
