Degrees and Certifications:
Growing up I didn’t care very much for school. I did okay, but never really worked as hard as I should have. I never got the grades I was capable of, I only tried to ‘do enough’. My senior year my AP Biology teacher lit a fire and made me realize how I had wasted my time in school and limited my college choices by not applying myself. I still made it to college, but my options weren’t as open as I would have liked. Had I met this teacher earlier I might have given myself more options and more opportunities. I don’t want to see anyone waste their talents like I almost did. I want to see all children really reaching their full potential and thrive in a way I didn’t. I want more for my students, because that’s what they deserve. This is why i do this. Our future greatness.
I have been teaching in Texas for nearly 15 years. I spent 10+ years in New Caney ISD teaching 3rd and 4th grade; and this is my fourth year teaching 4th grade. I livge with my wife Paula, my daughter Lilyana (age 12), and my son Aaron (10 months). We have a zoo at home with 3 big dogs and 3 cats who coexist nicely.
