Mr. Donald Baiter

I moved to Huntsville in 2003 to attend Sam Houston State.  I loved the town so much that I decided to stick around! I am a fourth grade teacher at Scott Johnson Elementary, and I have been teaching in Huntsville ISD for 13 years now. I was a student teacher at HIS and Stewart Elementary.  Upon graduating, I took a job at Stewart Elementary and remained there for 13 years. I have taught 1st grade, 4th grade, and 3rd grade while here.  Currently I am teaching Mathematics and Science.  I enjoy working with the students and helping them discover new ways in which they can grow!

I am a father of one, 12 year old son who is also a student here in Huntsville ISD.  In our spare time, we enjoy traveling and discovering new places of historical interest!  Learning from the past is a great way to learn for the future!!! We are also model train lovers and run them on a layout at our house.  It is a great way to spend time with my son and a wonderful way to pass on knowledge about how to create things from scratch, airbrush, design, and repair electronics.
