Greetings from the Samuel Houston Library! It is my honor to serve the students, faculty, staff, and parents of SHE. Our library is a place for reading and learning. The library is open 7:30-4:00. Everyone is welcome!

NEWS AND NOTES

*Welcome back to School! Library classes will begin the week of September 6, which allows for the patron data processing to be completed.

*Library Behavior Norms: Be Safe, Be Fair, Be Responsible, Be a Good Friend.

*Know your child's library day and help him/her return books on time. Responsibility matters!

*Parents, you may check out books, too. Stop by the library.

*Read to your child......The most important 20 minutes of your day.

ABOUT ME

This school year, 2010-2011, marks 26 years in education for me. I have 23 years of classroom teaching experience, mostly at the 3rd and 4th grade levels. And, this is the third year for me to serve as a librarian. I love working with the children and teachers in the library! I am a lifetime member of the Sam Houston State University Alumni Association and have earned a B.A.T. '74, M. Ed. '78, and School Library Certification '07 from SHSU. Mac and I are the proud parents of Anne, 31, and Wilbourn, 29.
