Huntsville Elementary
Huntsville Elementary School is located
on 87 Martin Luther King Boulevard
in Huntsville, Texas. Approximately 500 students are enrolled in Huntsville
Elementary.
HES opened in the 1990-1991 school year and was built using a pod structure.
Each of
of the six pods contains six classrooms and includes a commons area where
classes meet
for combined activities.
Students have several opportunities for after school activities.
The HES Choir meets every Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00. The choir is for 3rd and 4th grade students.
The Good News Club meets every Tuesday from 3:30 - 5:00 in the Music room. The activities include snacks, bible stories, memory verses, music, missionary stories and games. Every student that attends must have a parent permission slip that can be picked up in the front office. Students can start attending anytime during the year.
