Welcome to Gibbs Elementary,

Gibbs Elementary School is a small neighborhood campus. Many of our students walk or ride a bike to school. The enrollment is approximately 340 Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade. Our campus also includes a Life Skills Program for Children with Disabilities.

The staff consists of 25 professional teachers, 10 paraprofessionals, one counselor, a nurse and two administrators. All of the staff met the highly qualified requirements of the No Child Left Behind legislation.

Our campus schedule includes students receiving physical education daily. Art and music classes are provided on a rotating basis to assist teachers every day in utilizing small group instruction. In addition, a campus wide Character Education program is in place to enhance social skills and appropriate behaviors consistent with the Student Code of Conduct and to promote a positive learning environment for all stakeholders.

Gibbs Elementary School has a very active Parent Teacher Student Organization.
This organization promotes parent involvement in all of the scheduled events throughout the school year. The PTSO provides additional instructional materials for all the students through their fund raising activities.
