Why you chose to serve on the School Board: I have worked with children for many years through sports, church, and various community organizations and have had the privilege to serve on several boards at the local and state level. Given the opportunity and responsibility to make a difference in a child’s education is exciting and challenging.

Why you chose to serve on the School Board: I have been a part of this community for the past 36 years. Both our boys received their education at HISD, and I feel this is a way to give something back to the community and school district. I have always been involved in organizations dealing with children (baseball, softball, basketball, football, and band), and I want to continue making children the school board's first priority.

I am committed to focusing on quality and sensitivity as we keep children first.
