If so, parents MUST sign them up with the Transportation Department BEFORE they will be allowed to ride. It could take up to 48 hours for your child to be registered and assigned to a bus.
The Huntsville ISD Transportation Department is now accepting Bus Registration Sign-Ups for students for the 2017-2018 school year. Any student who may need to ride the bus to or from school at any point during the school year must register annually to ride beforehand. Bus Registration is separate from your normal Back to School Student Registration process. There are several ways to register for the bus:
#1 ONLINE REGISTRATION
Complete the electronic submission using the Bus Registration Form found via the form link found on the right-hand side of this page.
#2 ONSITE/IN PERSON REGISTRATION
Register your student in person @ HISD Transportation - 95 Martin Luther King Drive from 7:00 am till 5:30 pm Monday thru Thursday during summer operating hours during the summer months.
Once you have registered your child to ride the bus, you will then be provided with the information specific to your child. Bus numbers and routes are subject to change each school year, so please register them. Students will NOT be allowed to ride the bus until you have REGISTERED them first.

Bus Registration will CLOSE on August 11, 2017, in order to build and complete bus routes.
***Parents of Returning HISD Students: Please be sure that you have also completed the Back to School Online Student Re-registration Process through the Home Access Center (HAC) parent portal as this is also an important and separate step for Back to School student registration.
