HISD Tax Ratification Election (TRE) "Penny Exchange" - November 7

The Huntsville ISD Board of Trustees has called for a Tax Ratification Election (TRE) to ask voters to consider a change on how we collect school district taxes to maximize our state funding. The proposed change would bring the district an estimated $750,000, or more, in additional state revenue annually without increasing the overall total tax rate for the school district. Voters determine the outcome of this election. Early Voting begins Monday, October 23 - Friday, November 3. Election Day is Tuesday, November 7. Click the link to learn more about the TRE. We encourage all voters to become informed about the TRE and VOTE in this important school district election.
